Andrey Ivanov was born in the former Soviet Union and immigrated to the United States from Kiev, Ukraine, in November 1990. One of 13 children, he was raised by his incredible and loving parents, Viktor and Anna Ivanov, who instilled in him a strong work ethic, deep faith, and an unwavering commitment to serving others. Career & Military Service Andrey dedicated 10 years of his professional career to Esco Steel Foundry, where he worked his way up to a project manager position within the engineering department, specializing in research and development (R&D) projects. This achievement followed the completion of his Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, equipping him with the leadership and organizational skills that would define his future endeavors. His 11-year military service spanned both the United States Navy and Army National Guard. He served eight years in the Navy, attaining the rank of E-5 (MR2 – Machinery Repairman), where he honed his technical expertise and resilience. After his time in the Navy, he transitioned into the Oregon Army National Guard, where he was commissioned as an infantry officer, leading and mentoring soldiers in service to the nation. Entrepreneurship & Youth Development In 2013, Andrey co-founded Flash Love, a nonprofit organization dedicated to youth empowerment through leadership, discipline, and service-oriented initiatives. His commitment to equipping young people with essential life skills led to the creation of several groundbreaking mentorship programs, including: Academic Culture of Excellence (ACE), The Spartan Challenge (TSC), Junior Warrior Training (JWT), Spartan Advanced Leadership Training (SALT), and Spartan Warrior Course (SWC). Through these programs, Andrey has provided thousands of young men and women with opportunities to develop resilience, leadership, and a sense of purpose. His hands-on approach and emphasis on leading by example have transformed the lives of many, preparing them to become bold, brilliant, and compassionate leaders for the world. Personal Life & Legacy Above all, Andrey considers his greatest joy and privilege to be a father to his two-year-old daughter, Josie. His love for family and his passion for mentorship drive his mission to inspire the next generation. Whether through leadership training, community service, or one-on-one mentorship, Andrey remains committed to living a life of service, courage, and integrity, showing youth the way not just through words, but through action. His journey—from an immigrant to a military officer, from a steelworker to a mentor of future leaders—reflects his deep conviction: to love, serve, and uplift others, leaving a lasting impact on the world.
